Odds and Ends...

So, there are a few things I have wanted to mention for a while now, and since I couldn't come up with a good post for today (mainly because my BRAND NEW lawn mower won't start, and I am so irritated I am ready to kick down a #uc#in& wall....) I figured I do it today.

First, apparently I have quite a few fans in--wait for it--Russia! According to the stats on my blog, over 23% of my hits come from 'Mother Russia', and after some detective work on my part, it looks like the majority of them are legitimate people (as in not spammers or robots) and a majority of those are repeat visitors. And so *ahem*... Приветствуйте новых друзей! Я настолько рад, что Вы заходили, и я надеюсь, что Вы приезжаете снова скоро!

Next off, there are two people I would like to introduce you to that I have met in the online writing community and are definitely worth a look/follow:

First is Tim Federle. I was introduced to him when he so kindly added THE HOLDERS, my alter-ego's YA novel, to his 'to-read' shelf on GR. As he was the first male to do so, I figured I would check him out, and I am so glad I did. Tim is a YA writer whose YA/MG novel is due out by Simon & Schuster early 2013, and is one of the first humorous writers I've found whose personality actually translates in his writing and online platform without being one of those people who you can tell are trying way too hard. (and he's super cute to boot!Definitely worth a look. He can be found here(website), here(GR), and here(Twitter).

The second intro goes to Carly B of 'Writing From The Tub'. She is a fabulous UK based book blogger and also an aspiring YA writer. Her blog is definitely one you should look to follow if you follow reviews. Her posts are always well written, consistent, and unbiased, not to mention timely and numerous. Basically everything mine are not. :) She can be found here(blog), here(GR), and here(Twitter).

Last, since I missed Wordless Wednesday yesterday, I'll show you this now:
My ink! =D I had a much smaller quill and had it changed into one that was much larger and more interesting to celebrate all the bookishly awesome action this year.

Okay, so I guess that is it. Hope everyone is having a lovely week, and I'll talk to you soon!

  1. Thank you, Marian, for the lovely shout out. Your new tattoo is awesome; I'm thinking about getting a tiny quill on the inside of one of my fingers soon, we'll see!x

  2. You're braver than me. I've been tempted to get a wee tattoo but since my skin is sagging here and there, hell everywhere, I'll stick to the temporary ones. That's fun too.

  3. No problem Carly! You deserve it! ;)

Ha! Feather, you crack me up! XD
Temporary is just as good, and you can change your mind as often as you want!
